Questions To Ask Yourself If You’re Ready To Buy

Buying a house is one of the largest financial decisions of your life; but how do you know when you’re ready to buy a home?

Buying a home is part finance stability, and part mental and emotional preparedness.

With out a doubt, you will need to make sure your finances are in order. That means showing a lender that you have a history of bringing home a consistent paycheck from your job, having the right amount of down payment saved, depending on what type of loan you qualify for, and having enough money on the side to pay closing costs. Usually around 3% of the home cost.

Then you will need to have decent credit. The higher your credit, the better rate you will receive.

And last, are you prepared to settle down for at least a few years? Having to move or sell your home for what ever reason, is costly. Especially if you do so soon after you purchase your new home.

So if you meet the requirements of these steps, you most definitely could be ready for home ownership!
